Providing women with the knowledge to reach their leadership potential in the sports industry.
MELBOURNE | 21-22 February 2023
BRISBANE | 22-23 March 2023
SYDNEY | 27-28 April 2023
The Women Leading in Sport workshop aims to provide women working within the sports industry with leadership theories and practical knowledge to enable them to thrive in the sports industry.
This program supports participants in acquiring the foundations to develop successful long-term careers and supports the government's strategy of improving the under-representation of women leaders in organised sports.
The Clearinghouse for Sport* identified in 2019 women comprised 24% of CEOs across 63 national sporting organisations (NSOs), and 15% of high-performance coaches. At the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, only 9% of accredited Australian coaches were women.
The objective of this workshop is to provide women working in sports the opportunity to learn skills and to grow their confidence as leaders to ensure a long and successful career within the sports industry.
This workshop provides women with the knowledge to reach their leadership potential in the sports industry. By experiencing this powerful and high-impact workshop, participants will hear from industry experts on best practice leadership skills and learnings and come together with a group of female sporting professionals from a diverse mix of backgrounds to share ideas, strategies, and support.
Participants in this workshop will receive the most current knowledge in practical leadership theory and learn how to utilise their key strengths and attributes to be impactful leaders. In addition to providing participants with the opportunity to take a critical look at their career, leadership style and personal strengths.
This is an interactive and participatory workshop and an opportunity to develop lasting relationships and a powerful professional network. It is guaranteed to have a positive impact on all participants.
