Renowned for her exuberant and charismatic personality off-the-field, and hardnosed, gritty play on it, Belle Dawes is a two-time AFLW Premiership winner & rising star from the Brisbane Lions.
A local talent from the Sunshine Coast, Belle began her footy career playing in the local youth boys competition, which bolstered the confidence and toughness she exudes today. Belle would go on to play for Maroochydore in the QWAFL, before signing to the Lions Academy and ultimately being drafted 15th in the 2019 draft.
Belle never looked back, helping the Lions win the 2021 & 2023 AFLW Premierships, earning a place as a 2021 AFLW Rising Star Nominee, and a two-time member of the AFLPA 22under22 Team. In 2023 alone, Belle was selected as the Club Best & Fairest Runner-Up, and received the Trademark Player award & Best Finals Player award for the club.
Self-assured, hardworking and humble, Belle is a true gem and an out-standing role-model and voice for female athletes across Australia.
