The insanely talented Jesse Wardlaw is an AFLW All-Australian footballer and Premiership player for the St Kilda Saints FC.
Beginning her career with the Brisbane Lions, where she blossomed into an uber-athletic, goal-kicking powerhouse, Jesse rose in stardom to the pinnacle of the sport. During her time in Brisbane, she won a Premiership in 2021, and was later selected as an All-Australian player for her lead-leading goal-kicking performance during the 2022 season. She has also been awarded as an AFLW Rising Star Nominee, and two-time selection to the AFLPA 22under22 Team. In 2023, Jesse made shockwaves by making a move to the St Kilda Saints, hoping to lead the red, white and black back to the grand final.
Growing up in Ashburton, NZ, Jesse moved to Queensland as a multi-sport athlete competing in cross-country, basketball, netball, and touch rugby. It wasn’t until Jesse was encouraged by her friends to take part in a social AFL 9s game that she picked up a football, and was quickly recognized for her natural talent by AFLW player Tayla Harris who was referring the social match. And the rest is history!
Beyond footy, Jesse’s is an energetic and adventurous personality with a deep appreciation for her Māori descent, heritage and culture, which plays a huge role in her daily life and core values as a face of the AFLW.
