    Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Australian Beach Volleyball star, and dual-career athlete practicing as a dentist.

    Paul Burnett is a rising Australian beach volleyball star, forming teammates with Chris McHugh as one half of the successful duo “Team McBurn”.

     

    Only 26-years old, Paul has built himself a strong resume, with a gold medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, an Asian Beach Volleyball title, and a Cobram Barooga Classic title. In a tight race to the world’s biggest stage, Paul is fixated on securing a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

     

    During the pandemic, Paul became a student-athlete, electing to study a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide, and shortly after began practicing. Paul is also a strong advocate for youth volleyball across Australia, helping teach and inspire young talent to follow in his steps.
