Why brands choose Jade

Jade suits organisations that need standing, not celebrity.

Reconciliation Action Plan programs, leadership panels, community and government initiatives, and brands investing in Indigenous sport. The first Indigenous captain of the Socceroos, a two-time Olympian and National NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year, he pairs playing credentials with a decade of delivery off the field — founding the Kickin’ with a Cuz charity and leading Indigenous participation work in the construction sector. He presents as he played: direct, generous and composed — best used in panels, interviews and facilitated conversations where his story does its work.

Profile

About Jade

Jade North is one of Australia’s most decorated footballers — the first Indigenous captain of the Socceroos, a two-time Olympian, two-time A-League champion, and the National NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year in 2016.

Highly experienced having played for ten clubs across five countries, Jade is a proud Biripi man who represented the green and gold on 41 occasions. His honours include captaining Newcastle Jets to the 2008 A-League championship, an A-League All Stars selection, membership of FC Tokyo’s 2011 Emperor’s Cup-winning squad, an OFC Nations Cup with Australia, two National Soccer League championships with Sydney Olympic and Perth Glory, and a runner-up finish at the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Away from football, Jade has launched an Indigenous football program called “Kickin’ with a Cuz”, focused on reaching young boys and girls through football and inspiring them to make better life choices. Jade is passionate about helping disadvantaged groups and advocating for better education and management of mental health. He speaks passionately about leadership, inspiration and mental health awareness, and does so through his social responsibility and Indigenous participation work with Hutchinson Builders.
