Australian Mountaineer, Adventurer & Mental Health Advocate — the fastest sea-to-summit Everest climb in history, and a mission that made headlines from CNN to Sunrise.
Oliver is the rare adventure story that is both current and unfinished.
The fastest sea-to-summit Everest climb in history made global headlines in May 2026 — AFP, CNN, Good Morning America, Sunrise — and his next mission, completing the Seven Summits, gives partners a multi-year campaign arc rather than a single moment. His platform is purpose-built: expeditions fund youth mental-health gyms through his Climbing for Young Minds campaign with Youturn. A commanding keynote speaker with the story, the footage and the cause to anchor a conference, he suits outdoor, endurance and health brands — and any partner that wants its name on the next six mountains.

Oliver Foran is an Australian mountaineer, adventurer and mental health advocate — and the fastest person ever to travel from sea level to the summit of Mount Everest. On 20 May 2026 he completed the journey from the Bay of Bengal to the top of the world in 50 days: 1,150 kilometres by bike across India and Nepal in 42-degree heat, 180 kilometres on foot through the Himalaya, then the 8,849-metre climb itself — his first 8,000-metre peak — surviving an avalanche at Camp 1 along the way. The record had stood since 2013; he beat it by 17 days.
The climb was never just about the mountain. Oliver lost his mother to brain cancer at 16 and, years later, reached his own breaking point — a phone call to a mate turned him around. He climbs so young people never reach that point alone: his Climbing for Young Minds campaign with Queensland youth charity Youturn is building Australia’s first YouConnect youth mental-health gym, with more than $75,000 raised toward a $200,000 target.
From Wynnum on Brisbane’s bayside, Oliver’s rise has been rapid: Island Peak in 2024, Ama Dablam in 2025, then the record. His story travelled further than he did — covered by AFP and CNN, Good Morning America, Sunrise and 7NEWS — with a feature documentary of the expedition in production.
Everest is one summit of seven. Oliver’s next mission is to complete the Seven Summits — the highest peak on every continent — carrying the mental-health message to each of them. Off the mountain, he is a commanding keynote speaker, translating the record, the avalanche and the comeback into lessons on resilience, endurance and asking for help — for corporate audiences, schools and conferences.
